MISSION
STATEMENT
Giving life New Hope through the care and protection
of children in especially difficult circumstatnces.
Our aim is to provide for the
physical, emotional, educational and spiritual needs of orphaned,
destitute, abused and abandoned children who otherwise have no
choice.
OBJECTIVES

To rehabilitate
these children with the aim of helping them to acquire human
dignity and self reliance

To feed, shelter,
clothe, educate and provide recreation, counselling and health
care to 100 children in the center.

To try and
facilitate reintegration with responsible, financially secure
relatives.

To influence
policy including advocacy on children’s rights and children’s
issues in general.

To provide
long-term opportunities for vocational skills training for young
persons to become self reliant

To provide
healthcare, education and vocational training services to the
local community
- To construct a full Primary School
to cater for the children from the local community as well as
those in the center

Care of the
children living in the center through the provision of quality
food, clothing, accommodation and recreation

Provision
of therapeutic and rehabilitation services to the children in
the center.

Provision
of nursery, pre-primary and primary education to the children
in the center and those from the neighbouring community

Project Management Committee (Board) on aspects of project development
and management.
POPULATION
Once completed the center will care for up to 100 children aged
between 2 and 18 years. Admission is a process involving

– to establish the truly needy cases

Medical Examination
to establish the health status of each child.

Court commital
– to legalize the children’s residence in the center.
URGENT NEEDS
- Construction and equipment of
an additional dormitory to accommodate at least 20 more children
- At least 8 classrooms out of 10
required for a Primary School.
- Nursery class, Pre-Primary class
and classes 1 to 6 for the center and the local community.
(Currently 2006 we have 3 classes of different ages learning in
part of the dormitory with only one teacher i.e. class 1, Pre-Primary
class and nursery classes. Class 22 learns in a separate room.)

ADMISSION ACTIVITIES
The center is administered by a Board of Directors who are responsible
for issues of administration and policy as well as identifying short,
medium amd long-term development projects and proper utilisation of funds.
The Executive Director and Home Manager assisted by the center staff are
responsible for running the center on daily basis.

FUND RAISING ACTIVITIES
IN THE PIPELINE
These are the responsibility of the Fundraising Committee assisted by
the other Board Members. Activities include an Annual Charity Walk and
Cycling. Donate a meal, Annual Dinner Dance and Direct Appeal
